Charlestown Regatta Playing Field

Published: 10 March 2021

The parish council is working in conjunction with the Regatta Committee to effect a number of improvements to the field.  A number of established trees have been lost in recent years due to disease and we have started on a project to replace these.  So far approximately 40 trees have been planted, including native Cornish apple trees.  The trees will form part of the Forest for Cornwall.

The toddlers' play area is going to be completely revamped and work will start on this exciting project on 22 March, weather permitting.  Unfortunately this will mean that this area will be closed for approximately 5 weeks.  We hope to keep all the other play equipment available.

We are also installing a footpath running from the top pedestrian gate down to the toddlers' area which will make it much easier (and less muddy!) to walk to the play area.

Please bear with us while this work is carried out - it will be worth it in the end.
